Office Area of the Southern Region Water Resources Office
Tourists will first come across a two-storey white build ing enclosed by trees and flowers upon arrival at the Office Area of the Southern Region Water Resources Office, i.e. the office of the Southern Region Water Resources Office. There is a vast turf area in the office area of the Resources Office and marble seats are available under the green canopies for relaxation and leisure purpose. At present, the services offered by the Resources Office to tourists include a briefing r oom, dining and lodging in Memory Villa (Yi Yuan).

China Youth Corps
After getting a ticket at the toll station by Tsengwen Bridge No.2 and going straight along the sightseeing trail for about 1km, tourists will be at China Youth Corps. As well as offering lodging, dining, camping and barbeque services, the center is carrying out the recovery of fireflies under the guidance of experts and scholars in recent years. The result of the recovery is displayed in the ecological museum. Interested tourists may go there to have a peek at the mysteries of nature .

Tungkou Camping and Recreational Area
Tungkou Camping and Recreational Area at Bridge No.3 beside Tsengwen Creek is currently composed of a Tourist Service Center, pavilions and leisure facilities, conference room, social hall, facilities for outing activities, camping and ba rbeque zones, etc. for organizations and bodies to hold large scale activities. The water discharged after the power generation of Tsengwen Reservoir will be conducted by Tungkou Diversion Weir, and flows to Wushantou Reservoir through the tunnel of Wushan Mountain to supply the livelihood, industry and agriculture of part of the areas in Tainan and Chiayi. Tungkou diversion facilities are the ancient works of the Japanese colonial era and so they have a high historical value. |
